POSTER

      Posters are extremely important , because they can steal your eye when you are looking for an event , a concert , a representation of art .   

      And this was my last assignment , to do a poster for a rock band . My choice was CARGO , as it is  a very popular romanian band , with a long history , and they have a lot of good songs , which we have the opportunity to enjoy . 

      As I admire and respect their work I present this 2 choices for my take on their poster. 

LOGO-Romanian Design Council

      Another day , another assignment . Today I want to write about one of my favorite so far , creating logos for different companies ,organizations and institutions . The fact that I had to do a logo for Romanian Design Council it was very exciting , and one of the assignments that I put a lot of work into . 

      Despite the fact I had 3 weeks to complete this, I managed to do a logo that suggests an organization that is friendly , opened , humble and transparent , one that communicates with the designers, provides inspiration and helps them get in touch with other brilliant people in this field . 

      Free movement , creative shape and well structured . 

      What do you think about my logo ? 

PAC-MAN SOFA

      I received as assignment to create  a sofa , in a very short period of time, only 3 weeks , and I saw this as a bold idea , considering the amount of creations  that already exist on the market.

      Once I started working on the project I tried to find inspiration in different areas , some that not a lot of people would look into. This is how I ended up looking at computer games  and rediscover  a pretty old one, and very popular, PAC-MAN. 

      Now that  I found my inspiration I moved forward by transforming a yellow dot into a future sofa.The arms can be removed and once  turned around , they can be used as chairs , and the sofa becomes a rocker . 

      I think it`s pretty awesome , what do you think?

Book cover

      I found the idea of creating a book cover , specially for such a popular subject, like the fables of Esop,very atractive and interesting .

      In order to create this I chose two main characters , the bunny and the fox.

      The time spent realizing this cover was very relaxing , it  helped me develop my imagination  and made me realize that even a theme dedicated to  children  can be very interesting for the adults too.

      Hi,there! I'm Andreea Atomei and I'm twenty years old and also a second year student at the University of Arts and Design from Cluj-Napoca,Romania.

      I was born in a small village called Costisa , which is located in Neamt county. I finished High School "Victor Brauner " in Piatra Neamt , where I discovered my passion for design .

      After all of this,I came to Cluj where I have the chance to explore every day a different side of design. 

This being said , buckle up and explore my blog, where you can see some of my projects,discover my style and the way I approach each assignment. 

      In my journey,so far,I learned how to work with different programs, like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrater, Adobe InDesign, Corel Draw, but also in 3D programs, such as Autodesk 3DSMAX and Rhinoceros.

      What I love the most is being able to provide identity to things , this is the reason why creating logos is my favourite part from everything I`ve done so far.

      I choose Design , because only here you can combine what you need with what you wish.
